Introduction
Welcome to Karib One Network ("the Network"), the professional community platform operated by Company legal name — TO COMPLETE ("Karib One", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in Barbados under registration number Registration number — TO COMPLETE, with registered address at Registered address, Barbados — TO COMPLETE.
By accessing or using the Network at network.karibone.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Network.
Definitions
Eligibility
To register on the Network, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Network under applicable law
The Network is intended for Caribbean professionals, entrepreneurs, suppliers, buyers, and partners involved in or interested in Caribbean trade. Karib One reserves the right to refuse or terminate access to any account that does not meet these criteria.
Account Registration
To access the interactive features of the Network, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to notify Karib One immediately at legal@karibone.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Network only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Post, share or transmit spam, unsolicited promotional messages, or chain letters
- Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, threatening, abusive or defamatory on any basis
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your identity or credentials
- Post false, misleading or fraudulent information, including fake business profiles
- Post or transmit any content that is obscene, pornographic, violent or otherwise offensive
- Post content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Network or another member's account
- Use automated tools, bots or scrapers to collect data without prior written consent
- Post content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other members
User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of any Content you post on the Network. By posting Content, you grant Karib One a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that Content solely in connection with operating the Network.
You are solely responsible for the Content you post. Karib One does not systematically review Content before publication but reserves the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.
Private Messaging
The Network provides a private messaging feature allowing registered members to communicate directly with one another. By using this feature, you agree that:
- Private messages may only be sent to members who have not restricted their messaging settings
- You will not use private messages to send spam or unsolicited commercial offers
- You will not use private messages to harass, intimidate or threaten another member
- You will not solicit personal or financial information from other members
- You will not share illegal content, malicious links or files through private messages
Groups and Communities
The Network hosts topic-based groups open to registered members. Group administrators are responsible for moderating their group's content in accordance with these Terms.
Karib One reserves the right to close, merge or remove any group that violates these Terms or is inactive for an extended period without prior notice.
Subscription and Future Fees
Access to the Network is currently free of charge. Karib One intends to introduce a paid subscription plan in the future at a price of €5 per month (or equivalent), which will unlock enhanced features. Free access may be maintained at a basic level.
Intellectual Property
The Network, including its design, logo, software, and all Karib One-authored content, is the exclusive property of Karib One and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Karib One name, logo or branding without prior written consent.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Network is provided "as is" and "as available." Karib One makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability or availability of the Network.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Karib One shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Network.
Termination
Karib One may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if Karib One reasonably believes your conduct is harmful to other users or to the Network.
You may close your account at any time by contacting legal@karibone.com.
Changes to these Terms
Karib One reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Network with the revised effective date. Your continued use of the Network following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Barbados. For users located in the European Union or French overseas territories, applicable EU consumer protection and data protection regulations (including the GDPR) also apply and are not excluded by this clause.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barbados, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence.
